Why did the Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce create a new website?
A professional website is an opportunity for every business, including the Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce, to expand its reach to internet visitors. In August, the Chamber made a decision to seek a membership software that would serve as the best tool for promoting our Member Investors and grow our Chamber. The Chamber researched three different options to evaluate overall software features, ease of use, and cost. Our goal was to ensure the best investment of membership dollars, while creating a clean, well-designed website with fresh content and easy to understand information for visitors, residents and members.
Crucial Improvements
•Each Member Investor now has a profile page with photos, contact information, social media links, photos, and biography.
•Each Member Investor now has access to upload Member Deals to highlight sales or promotions.
•Each Member Investor will receive a password in order to make personal changes to member biography page and member deals after receipt of 2017 dues payment.
•Addition of the Chamber blog from Stormy Nickerson, Executive Director, to share community updates, Member Investor events and Chamber events.
•Inclusion of a Marshall tab, including: useful contact numbers, relocation information, education, worship guide, medical services, Wonderland of Lights, Josey Ranch, MEDCO, Caddo Lake, Arts/Entertainment Community Links, and Main Street Marshall.
•A true community calendar with events from the Chamber, Member Investors, Non-profits, Civic Organizations and community members.
